Has anyone been to Singapore and have any recommendations?

Im off to Singapore in a couple of weeks for a bit of business and pleasure with my 2 youngest kids as I have no one responsible enough to mind them. We will be there for 6 days and 2 days of business I will attend but can have my kids with me.
I booked with a travel agent as I wasn't sure about visas, travel restrictions etc but I really should of just booked myself as I already knew where I wanted to stay and what flights I wanted.
I have asked the travel agent twice about a transfer to the hotel from the airport as I am a anxious traveller and taking 2 of my kids might add to it a bit more with no response. So my question is, what is the best way to get around Singapore on a budget but also anxiety free, especially how we should get to our hotel after just landing?!
Also does anyone have an recommendations on what activities we should do while there? Another question I ask and was told she will email me some but never did
