Vitamin c works so much better. It is needed for the body to actually create collagen. Vitamin c is very easily absorbed by the body but collagen is not.
It's all a gimmick. The amount of collagen in an actual tablet is so minimal. It won't hurt to take them, but it's not going to make much of a difference if you do.
The best alternative is to drink bone broth made at home. It's packed full of collagen. It's a bit gamey in taste , but its rich in collagen and you'll notice results.
