Has anyone ever sold a vehicle to the wrecker’s before? We’ve got a car that we don’t want to put anymore money into fixing it and don’t want to waste another lot of rego on it. It’s a very nice suv. Just curious how much we’d get for it.

I got $120 for a Mitsubishi lancer. Even the mechanic who organised it was surprised by how little I got. The body was in really good condition, the starter motor had been replaced with a secondhand one a few months early. It had been in really good working condition until the engine blew.
Try Facebook marketplace or gumtree and be open to offers. You might find someone with the knowledge to fix it a lot a cheaper or needs the same model to fix a car they already own. Selling to a wreckers would definently be last resort. It can take them years to make money of the vehicle.
