Curious if anyone else has this happen or could shed some light on what it might be? A few times lately, while being in the shower, I start getting a rash and really itchy on my chest, back, arms, neck and face. Still using the same soap I have always used. Comes up just after getting in the shower and goes away shortly after getting out of the shower.

It could be the chemicals they put in the water. Try a charcoal filter on the shower head. The reason this happens out of the blue is because there might be more in the water system then usual. Sometimes it's given me breathing issues.
Shower is too hot maybe? Maybe try using a different body wash too.
Your skin might be becoming drier so the soap and hot water is harsher on your skin than it was before. Hot water can be horrible for your skin especially when its a constant stream, add soap and you're stripping what natural oils you have. Try a mild shower gel and a cooler temp.
It may not be the soap or the water. Take the shower head off and clean it out. There maybe a dead insect in there that is fouling the water as it breaks down and comes through the shower head...
How would it have got in there?
Same way it is coming out... through the holes the water comes through. I was thinking ants, but it is amazing what small holes large things can get through. What about that 3yo that climbed into the claw game machine? Or birds getting into your roof...
