Tips for Tonsillectomy recovery

Can I please hear all about tonsillectomy recovery in 5 year olds. I want all the ins & outs that helped your child. My child is scheduled & I’m so scared & nervous. I do not need medical advice just want to know how to help my child and what worked for you all.
Please help a worried Mumma out.

You’re going to worry, no matter what anyone says, I’ve been there done that. But, it’s a relatively minor procedure. Follow the aftercare instructions the doctors and nurses give you. Keep up with Panadol and nurofen regularly. Make sure they are eating and drinking regularly afterwards. They won’t let them home unless they are eating and drinking. Any sign of bleeding go straight back to hospital. Two weeks off school afterwards, because of the risk of bleeding. .I'm not sure if it’s usually done as a day procedure. My son was in overnight due to previous issues With general anaesthetic.
