Hi, I just finished making up Baby shower hamper baskets for my mums group and my partner mentioned wow you should start doing these and selling them, I worked out that each basket costs me between $30-$35, So I thought yeh why not, I was looking at $50 hampers that would have a little onsie outfit, towel, baby wash, overhand washer, packets of wipes, bowl and spoon set, a little teddy bear and a box of chocolates for mum, as well as some other small things which will vary from hamper to hamper. I would also do $100 ones which would have a couple little outfits and powders wipes wash, towel teddy, pillow and heaps more stuff. Would you consider buying such a item for either a baby shower or to give to a new mum. It would be a local pickup only deal as would cost to much to post.

Yep sounds nice. Maybe check out on fb if there is anyone else locally who does them and see how much they charge :)
Depends where you live i guess, but yeah theres definatly a market for that kind of thing. Probably not going to make alot of money off it, so maybe you could also extend it to other kinds of hampers too, eg, mothers day, birthdays, mens hampers
Yup, would definitely consider buying one, even more so from a WAHM.
I'd keep the products such as washes, wipes, powders etc out of them personally though - along with nappies, bottles, dummies and formula these tend to be a matter of personal preference. I was given a bunch of these types of things for our bub and she turned out to have really sensitive skin - I felt horrible having to waste those products. Maybe a little baby manicure set or something else that's not dependent on the parents' personal preferences and/or baby's individual needs.
Thanks Ladies, Yes will definitely be looking into Mothers day, fathers day, and 1st birthday baskets as well as the baby hampers. I have looked and no one in our local area offers anything like this, and My partner has been even more supportive offering to deliver to our local shire ( 6-8 Suburbs) for a flat fee of $5 as I dont drive. I have been looking into wholesalers and worked out I can get about 10-12 items into a $50 basket for about $30, I cannot wait to start getting into it all, now need to think of a clever name for it all.
