Hellooo lovely IM's...just would love some advice. Has anyone gone to see a career advisor and if you did, may I ask, who you saw? I want to return to paid work and am wondering which avenue is the best to take regarding courses. Whether I should enrol in maybe a Cert 3 in Business Admin or Cert 3 in Retail Operations. I am wanting to work in some sort of Customer Service area and I guess I just would like to know what avenues mums have taken to polish their skills. I am doing a Cert 3 in Information and Cultural services but I think I want to transfer to a course that will increase my employability (is that even a word? lol) while I am studying...Thankyou so much in advance....I just seem to be at a bit of a crossroad at the moment.

Hey, I think you should go for a Cert IV Business Administration - cert IV will increase your chances of employment. I have done both courses you are looking at. Generally Business/ Business Administration will be the better option in my opinion. What state do you live in? TAFE offer the Cert IV online, but if you're in QLD, Central Queensland University offer vocational (certs) education. I did my cert IV through them and just paid for each unit as I went. You get 10 weeks per unit, prices differ, but it's around $100 per unit. Good luck!
Thankyou for replying...yeah I rang Tafe today to try and transfer, so fingers crossed I can get into something different to what I am currently doing.
