Hi ladies, I'm hoping you can give me a bit of advice. We have just found out that a friend has lost her beautiful 4 month old daughter. We have started with freezer meals but are looking to set up some sort of fundraising page to help with funeral costs and to provide financial help over the coming months. What is the best way to do this? Has anyone used any of the fundraising pages online? Thanks in advance for your advice.

I used go fund me. It worked great. Be reasonable in what you expect to raise, people get there backs up if they think the amount is excessive and don't donate. So do your numbers with your friends about what they actually need. I know it's hard for them to think, but fundraisers set up behind people's backs tend to not be successful. Work out what would happen to any surplus funds (will it be donated to a charity etc?) and make that clear.
