This might not be the right place but I'm
Desperate to help my mother.
My mum is looking for
Work in the ipswich area. She is a highly qualified office worker with excellent computer skills and sales experience.
The problem is she is 50 and to
Me that isn't a problem. No one will give her a go! She is either too qualified for a role, too old or not even given a chance.
No one would find a harder worker in their life then my mother.
She is desperate, after months and months and months of being jobless her savings are gone and like everyone she has bills to pay.
If anyone please knows of any job in Ipswich area or even areas of Brisbane please comment.
She has applied for every single job on seek that suits her qualifications.
She can't go cleaning again unfortunately because she had shoulder surgery a few years ago and the repetitive action of cleaning showers ect she can't do any longer.
I'm sorry this isn't the place but I just want to help my mother.

Tell her to go to an agency, I've previously found that to be the best avenue for getting a job suited to your skills. Unfortunately she's not the only one who is having trouble finding a job, there's a lot of people out there in the same boat. There's always a 'reason' why someone knocks you back but it's just a matter of persistence.
If she hasn't already she should look into what she's entitled to with Centrelink.
