I don't know what to do anymore

I don't know where my life is going anymore , I feel lonely, useless & emotionally drained. I am 30 years old and haven't had a proper job since having kids. I apply for jobs everyday on seek and indeed sites but never have any luck. A couple of months ago I completed a certificate 3 in aged care but now having no luck getting employment at a facility. I'm so over my everyday life that consists of getting kids off to school, house work then bumming around the house for the rest of the day applying for jobs online & then watching the mid day movie on tv just to kill time. All my friends and family work so gets so lonely
My husband desperately wants me to get a job too so then I'm out doing something and to help with the Bills and to be able to save for a house deposit.
I guess I'm now resorting to other imperfect mums , may be other mums out there feeling like this too?
I am just falling into a depression hole over this.

Have you tried approaching aged care facilities in your area? Going in and speaking to facilities directly and handing them your resume. Don't wait for them to advertise, in fact many jobs are never advertised. Offer to do volunteer work, so they can see how good you are.

Try gumtree. This is where my unskilled partner finds all his jobs.

Are you going out and applying jobs in person or just online? In person tends to have more success.
Maybe also try sprucing up your resume? Getting a someone else or a professional to go over and see is there anything that can be done to it to make it stand out from others.
Don't give up, the right thing will come along eventually!

I know how you feel. I struggle to get out of bed everyday knowing it's the same old routine. My kids are my world and help me get though the day. I'm also trying to gain employment, applying one seek etc but it seems no one wants to higher me I think due to I can only work 4 days a week. Good luck hopefully you start to feel better soon. (:

I had this problem for a few years (also did the Cert III in Aged Care) and eventually I just changed my aim. I was looking for Aged Care or retail work and was never given the chance for a start so I applied for every factory in my area. Had a job offer within a week and after 7 years of labouring work started climbing the corporate ladder into middle management. It wasn't easy, I worked nights so we had to juggle family commitments and it was physically exhausting work but it paid off.

Is there stuff you could do at the school? Its great for social connection. P&C? I coach netball and do stuff to help at school, it really helps make life more meaningful. Also get out for a fast walk straight after drop off in the morning. Exercise helps with EVERYTHING xx
