Looking for budget friendly family holiday ideas in NSW. We always holiday around September/October due to work commitments. After a tough year finacially this year, looking for cheaper options. Location, things to see and do that don't cost an arm and a leg. Not camping please. But do love out door activities, water activities, museums, sight seeing etc. the kids are 8 and 12. any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you in advance ?

Have you seen all the sights and attractions around your home town? My hubby has fond memories of one holiday like that. They didn't have to pay heaps for travel or accommodation so then used that money they saved to do some more expensive attractions around the region that they wouldn't normally see or do.
