Hi ladies I was just looking for somewhere to go on a holiday with my 3 kids they are aged 14,7 and 5.. They have never gone anywhere and never been on a plane, we haven't decided if we want to go overseas or just go somewhere in our beautiful country but we could only go for around 2 weeks, we currently live on new north coast, can anyone give us any suggestions on where we could go? Thanks in advance

Where do you live?
North coast NSW ?
Hawaii Fiji or NZ would be good overseas options if that is what you'd prefer - not too long a flight and jet lag would be minimal. Two weeks is really not long enough to fly too far as you will eat up holiday time with jet lag and travel. Really depends what sort of ho,idays you are after - snow (nz and Japan cheaper than Aus), sun (Hawaii Fiji Thailand Bali) or experiencing different culture (China Japan etc)
If you are looking at staying within Australia, perth is beautiful, so much to see and do. Alice springs, Uluru, Kings canyon all truly amazing. Fly to Tasmania, take the boat to melbourne and fly home - you'll visit two states and there's so much to see and do.
I think you need to decide:
A. When you want to go (this will affect weather eg Fiji in cyclone season not the best choice)
B. What sort of holiday, eg beach, snow, culture, tourist things to do
C. Budget - realistically what are you looking at spending, this will affect flights you choose and what activities you can afford to do,
Once these decisions are made you should be able to make a list of places that meet this criteria and then you could all decide together...
Bali, japan, thailand, fiji, hawaii. Two weeks is too long within auatralia unless you plan on moving around. Personally i wouldnt stay two weeks in one resort overseas either, more like 5 nights, move town, region or even country, then another five nights.
Maybe darwin, kakadu, then bali, go to gilis/ lombok, then home.
Just look around and find something that interests you and go see and do it!
We drove from the northern rivers NSW to Victoria. We travelled the Great Ocean Road, Melbourne and Phillip Island. We went for about two weeks total and it was amazing!
Bali is so family friendly, full of charm and so beautiful.
You can do it as cheap or as expensive as you like.
There is a group on facebook called Bali Groupies (Bogan Free), where you can ask lots of questions and receive lots of helpful info.
