Help me stop.

Help me stop.

I'm a mum to two kids. I work full time. I'm about 20kgs overweight.
I binge eat. So badly. I've just eaten so much that feel like I'm going to throw up.
I don't go a day without eating chocolate.
I've always struggled with my weight. I'm a stress eater and an emotional eater.
But.
Right now, I'm happy and there's no serious stress in my life. I am still binge eating because it's a habit.
I'm honest with myself. I don't make excuses for myself. I'm not in denial about it. I honestly just don't know how to stop. I think I can do it then I cave.
Tips. Advice. Personal experience. Please just help me. I'm so ashamed.

Change your eating to going for a walk or ride on the bike with the kids. Change the wanting to eat to exercise. You'll soon get hooked

You need to go see a psychologist! Because until you learn new healthy coping mechanisms you will continue to turn to food.
This isn't about will power, this isn't about exercise, and it isn't about not knowing what you should be eating, this is about emotions, coping mechanisms and possibly an unhealthy restrict/binge cycle.

This is what I was about to write ! Talk to a professional about the emotional stuff and then try to tackle the food . You may find that it happens as you deal with your 'baggage ' abyway .
I'm an emotional eater too and I find the more I tell myself I 'can't have' the more I want what ever it is ! And then I spiral cos i feel ashamed of my self that I wasn't 'strong enough ' to resist and the shame makes me want to eat more and so on ...
Stop shaming yourself !!

Definitely see a psychologist, Hun. There is an awesome book called "If not dieting, then what?" - you can buy it online. I would highly recommend it for someone who struggles with binge eating xx
