Career mums

Are there any mums with young kids out there with a career?

I really want to start a full time job in an industry I love but I have a 2 year old! The job would be full time which means my child would be in full time daycare.

At the moment I have a very high paying part time job with good hours and I get to be home every day with my daughter!

So I'm wondering if I should stay where I am or take the chance and apply for this job!

I feel I'm a bad parent putting myself first... That I should never have had a child if I wanted to work full time!!

Any stories out there that might help??

Seriously? Just because you have kids doesn't mean you have to sacrifice goals. Goals are really important. Think of the example you will be setting for your daughter. You'd be teaching her to reach for her dreams. Teaching her about self reliance, financial independence, and work ethics!
Kids LOVE daycare. They get to play with other kids, loads of activities and will teach her some independence in an age appropriate way.
Apply for the job.

If thats your only reason, go for it.
But have you really considered life with ft work. Its hard on a little one. And hard on you theres very little time at home. What you have now offers great balance and income its a dream really, personally i would enjoy ehat you have and wait until your child starts kindy then go for fulltime.

Working full time makes me hate my life... I wish I could be home with my daughter a little more. I'm missing out on everything and the time we do spend together I'm just so tired I can't play with her like I used to.

You do you but just remember your child won't be little forever... This is such a precious age and I feel like crying right now because I want to be the one raising her.
