Hi IM's. Just wondering if anyone here has personally been through your partner adopting your child (step parent adoption). My husband has been in my sons life and been his father since before he was born, their bond is undeniable and the biological father is not on birth certificate and hasnt seen my son since the day he was born and decided he wanted nothing to do with him so we wont have any problems with the legal side of it at all. Since the day my son was born we've been wanting to do the step parent adoption but it had to be a min of 3 years, which it has been now but I am just wondering in Western Australia what the average cost is? I have found application forms online etc just not sure on cost. Definatly something we are going to do especially since we've got a daughter together as well.
