What do I feed my toddler?

What do I feed my toddler?

I'm really worried about my daughters eating habits lately. She will be 2 in a few weeks and lately she has become so fussy with what she's eating. I feel like all she eats is fruit. I offer her a wide variety of foods at each meal time, trying to get as balanced as I can. But she just won't have a bar of it. She has cereal or toast for brekky, a piece of fruit for a snack. A sandwich for lunch and usually wants another piece of fruit. A yoghurt and more fruit. She rarely eats her meat with dinner but will devour all her veges. She doesn't like the usual kids snacks like nuggets and stuff like that. There are other things she has for lunches and dinners, I try and change it up often but I just feel she should be eating a lot better then she does. I hate that she doesn't eat meat often so she's not getting enough protein. Please tell me this is all normal? Or what else I could do/give to her? Any fun ideas to make food fun and maybe interest her into eating more/better foods?

Thanks mummas

Totally normal for a 2 year old to become fussy! She sounds like she is doing well. I'd just experiment with the meat a bit, but don't stress. her diet sounds quite varied

There's a reason why babies have that baby fat stored up. Because as toddlers children are nearly always pretty fussy! The body is prepared for this. I even read it's an evolutionary thing for toddlers to be picky because they are walking around able to eat anything so their body tells them not to so they don't ingest poisonous berries etc (from back in caveman days).

Totally normal and sounds like shes eating really well! My son stopped eating meat at two. Hes now 3.5 and will not eat it!!!! Any of it. If you try and make him, he WILL projectile vomit from the taste. I give him kids multivitamins.
