Can anyone recommend a potty for toilet training? We were given one but it leaves our little girl with a red ring on her bum and legs so can't be too comfortable for her! Or is it better just to have the insert that goes straight on the adult toilet?
Who knew there were even so many options!

Depends on the age and size of the child. If they are around two years old then potty can be useful but if they can sit on the toilet comfortably with one of those seats, go directly to that.
I toilet trained my daughter when she was 2. She's tiny so I found the potty easier for her to use. After a few months and when I was confident with her training, I got rid of the potty, bought the seat and a step. 12 months later, I've now taken it all away. She just sits on the toilet herself. I bought my potty from Big W.
