Hey IM's, I'm just wondering if you could all give me ideas for outside play that isn't expensive. We've for an art and craft table, trampoline, we have a shell pool, a sandpit and a swingset but Santa is bringing a playgym (swings/cubby/slide/ monkey bars). We don't have anywhere to ride a bike or scooter unless we take it on a walk. I only have one child and she seems to be bored. What are some other things we can do outside? I want to try and be active and I want to do more outside play. It's extremely hot here.
I guess even inside things to do. I'm so over her wanting to sit and watch movies or tv! She's 4. She's obsessed with movies ATM but I'm constantly telling her no.
Look forward to hearing all your thoughts and idea. Chuck me all your ideas! Or show me pictures of your play areas. I'm keen to try and make something she can spend lots of time using her imagination!

We used to set up painting outside, best thing is if they make a mess you can squirt them off!

I know how you feel they can have plenty to play with but be bored!.

I have boys and i picked up a cheap little table for outside and put old kitchen utensils and some plastic tubs and made like a little kitchen and they went nuts with mud, water you name it.

We had some left over plywood so we painted it with chalk board paint.

And just today i made up a list of things for them to find in the yard and how many ( eg 3 little rocks) they seemed to like this one.

Good luck

Maybe take her out to the park or somewhere fun? I know my kids get bored at home no matter how much play stuff we have. I try to take them places as often as possible.
