Catholic high school Vs public

Catholic high school Vs public

My two girls aged 9,10 have attended a catholic school for primary. I'm not catholic but my ex husband is but non practising. We get along well so there will be no debate on schooling . But I'm wondering if public or catholic is better for education?
It was just the best school in the area. I need to make a decision about high school soon. What are your thoughts if you've had kids in catholic primary and then decided on a high school? Thankyou IMs xx

Look at what subjects or interests your children have when choosing a high school. If you use that as your selection criteria things are much easier. For example some subjects just aren't available in some schools wether that be private or public.
Also look at your kids abilities, some schools have specialised programs for kids who may not be interested/able to go to university.
If your kids have a special interest I dance/drama/music/sport/art etc what do the schools offer.
The high school you pick for one child might not suit another.
I was an extremely talented dancer so went to a HS that offered a specialist dance program and worked around my dance company commitments. My sister was academically gifted so went to a high school that suited her needs. My other sister was outdoorsy so her high school suited her.

Really private/public shouldn't be the big question, but what school will offer the programs/subjects that will suit each child. Might be a public school or it might be private.
