Hi ladies,
Just after some advice
So my almost 3 year old has been toilet trained for a while now. He picked it up really well it only took a week and he had it down pat. Now my problem is the last few months he has been having one or two accidents a day and I don't know why. He is aware when he needs to go to the toilet 9 times out of 10 he will go with no prompt but atleast once a day he will wee his pants. I have started to regularly ask him if he needs to go to the toilet he will say no then a minute later wee his pants. Is this normal for his age? Is there anything I can do to stop him wetting his pants?
I have got him a sticker chart and told him he gets a sticker before bed if he has gone the whole day without wetting his pants so far that has not helped. Any other tips?

This is quite common. Especially at times when the child is particularly enjoying an activity and doesn't want to pause that activity to go to the toilet. If there are any particular activities that the child wets through deliberately pause it for a forced toilet break. The child will eventually come out the other side.
So if it happens when he plays outside make him take set toilet breaks. If it happens while watching TV make him go in the adverts for example.
Yes very normal ! Too many exciting things going on ! Watch for little signs like touching his pants /penis through his pants , or doing a little jiggle and even if he says no when u ask if he needs to wee encourage him to go wee and tell him he won't miss out ! My son is 3.5 and still does this but my older son has grown out of it ;) (now 5)
Most times with my 3yo we make it to the toilet in time (he's getting better at holding it longer haha) but sometimes a tiny bit get in his undies but we'll get there . And so will ur son xo
