You will probably have to trial different formulas before you find the right one. My twins started on nan from the hospital. Then we tried a few different ones as they didn't agree with them. The supermarket ones seemed to harsh on their tummies. In the end I went to a pharmacy and the pharmacist suggested novalac. Which could only be bought at pharmacy but was the right formula for my babies. My other two kids went on supermarket brand formula at six months and didn't have a problem. Each baby is different.

Also just to add, Australia has very strict standards and guidelines. They all would be good. That's why the Chinese are buying formula in bulk. Which pissed me off when i would go to buy formula and there was none on shelf or in store. Thankfully those days are over..

All depends on what your bub would agree with. There are lots of good formulas, but even good formulas babies can disagree with. My son was breastfed for a little while, then when i went to go on formula, i went through about 6 different ones until i found one that he agreed with. All the best, but pretty much baby will decide on what formula haha, its just trial and error until you find one bub agrees with

Yep, my youngest went through quite a few because he ended up constipated and vomiting on most. Paediatrician recommended NAN which helped with the constipation but not the vomiting. Ended up on a prescription low allergen formula. Still struggled a little with constipation but helped with the vomiting.

It's all trial and error unfortunately.
Some think that a $32 tin is far superior to a $13 one, but they're pretty much the exact same thing.
I found Aldi formula to be the absolute best for my baby. And it's one of the cheapest on the market! (And AUSTRALIAN made! Winning).
I can't recommend it enough if you have an Aldi close by.

I mix fed for the first 6 weeks because after a traumatic birth my body didn't want to produce milk. I used the http://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/77680/S26-Gold-Newborn-Stick-Pack...
I found the individual sachets very helpful it is more expensive to buy the formula this way but if you're only occasionally using it it doesn't go off or stale. I went on to feed my child until 20 months. Congratulations on the new baby and remember to look after the most important person in her/his life his/her mum
