Aldi vs Coles or Woolies

Aldi vs Coles or Woolies

Has anyone switched to Aldi and loving it?

I love Aldi chocies but haven't been sure if we should switch all our groceries to them or not.

Can anyone tell me the meat quality, food in general and if the nappies/formula/baby food are worth switching too?

It's so much cheaper than Coles and Woolies but I'm wary of the price vs quality of products.

I've heard great things about the aldi formula.
And I've used nothing else but aldi nappies on my two children.
I didn't buy a lot of baby food but my son likes the fruit bar things they sell.
As for everything else, I do the rest of groceries at Coles. Might buy top ups from Aldi if need be (which I've never had a problem with), also buy my coffee pods because I've got their coffee machine. I just prefer Coles online for my big shops because I'm lazy and haven't got time to drag two kids into the shops for big grocery shops lol

I'm an Aldi shopper and have tried most things, and LOVE them.
Everything in the baby range is exceptional.
The meat is fantastic and so much cheaper than other places.
Give it a try.

I don't like Aldi food much and neither do my kids so I don't shop there.

I like Aldi for non-perishables but I don't like the meat, fruit, veg, cereal etc etc etc. I've tried meat at various Aldi stores and it just doesn't compare to what I get at the butcher on freshness and quality. The fruit is not fresh either and I find that bananas etc are stored/transported at much lower temps than at my greengrocer so quality is just not there. Cereals taste yuck. I've tried and nope, tasted cheap and nasty. We only eat cereal on weekend as a treat and trust me, it wasn't a treat! Even their Weetbix tastes weird. I tried nappies once when my little one was 1ish but he literally turned bright red so we gave away the whole pack. Their wipes are ok - I use them now to wipes things down, but I personally wouldn't use them on delicate areas. We are on a tight budget so its not like I'm trying to be snobby lol. This is just my personal experience.

I do like their special buys - especially their pans and pots!

I have to agree especially about the meat and fruit and veg. Definitely not the best quality or tasting!

I shop there as a last minute option when wanting some cheap affordable things or I am buying a big lot of stuff to keep as snacks at work.

I've heard the formula and nappies are really decent, I plan on switching to these soon. I also love their baby wipes, really affordable and good quality. They're special buys have them available in bulk tomorrow so I'll be stocking up.

My MIL is an avid Aldi lover and all of her meat is from there, however I really do not enjoy it at all nor do I find their fresh products all that fresh.

If it wasn't opposite Woolworths for me I would never make the effort to take a trip there to save some dollars but thankfully it is so I do so :)

The nappies and wipes are great from Aldi. Not sure on Formula as I breastfed. I wouldn't buy their meat, fruit/veggies or things like chips etc from there though as they're not very nice.
