Humour me! Sorry for the TMI in advance! I was recently talking with one of the old ducks at work and some how we got onto the subject of Brazilians. I mentioned i am far too scared to attempt and shave but she was like 'nah it's awesome, doesn't itch blah blah blah"
She nearly had me convinced. I was like right I'll be booking in next week. But i know I'll chicken out. So many fears!? Are they rational? I'm worry my c-section scars will hurt, will my VG will look like a dead possum by the end of it, i have a permanent visitor thanks to pregnancy (which can only be surgically removed), what about ingrown hairs and i have this horrible feeling i am going to wee myself from the pain.
My BF is couldn't care either way but how nice would it be to go ....suprise lol
God help me? Any advice? Or just please have a laugh at my expense, i don't mind!
Waxing! Do i? Don't i?

My advice...laser!! I did waxing twice...never ever again. Tried laser..5 minutes!!! Done and no pain!! No irritation and no chaffing.
But, you'll only know the difference if you've tried both.
I'd suggest laser as it was a super positive experience for me. And after a few sessions I have no hair in some areas, and only light super thin hair in others.
I loveeeee waxing, I look forward to my XXX sessions! I had my first one at 16 and it was the worst experience, I went to a crappy chain salon and vowed to never do it again. So I was shaving, which was itchy, came back thick, got all bumpy and gross etc. But then at 18 I tried again at a proper, professional salon and haven't looked back. I do mine every 12-16 weeks as my hair grows super slowly, it truly isn't as painful as they say. I find eyebrows, lip and chin horrendous to wax (pretty much any facial area) and cry from threading my eyebrows yet am fine with XXX. The first time isn't comfortable but once they've done one rip your skin toughens for the rest of the session. I recently also went to a lady who did the sugaring method and 100% was pain free. I felt nothing.
Do not worry about the aesthetics of down there, they see every single type of vagina and prolapse, polyps etc. and they do not judge at all. Sometimes I do get ingrowns here and there but I ensure I wash well before I go, exfoliate the next few days after and continue to moisturise the area.
If you have thick dark hair laser is worth it too, it won't work on lighter thin hair like mine unfortunately but my sister had it done and had great results.
If it worries you that much, don't! Would you want your partner to put himself through waxing if it made him feel that nervous/uncomfortable just to surprise you astheathically?
