Weight loss

I'm over weight and I know it. I didn't realise I was as heavy as I am though. I'm 6ks heavier than I thought I was! I've put on 6ks in 3 months 😱 I just can't seem to get my head into it. I've lost 40 kilos before and kept it off. I need to now loose 46 kilos to get back to a healthier me. How do you all keep motivated? My body is suffering because of the weight and I know it. I can't seem to get myself to get up and exercise because it's such a struggle. How do you not eat the cranky foods. My cravings lately are horrendous! Like seriously insane. I'm depressed looking at myself and miss the happier healthier me. I've also got an auto immense disease which makes me extreamly tired! I know how good exercise makes you feel! I used to walk/jog 5ks every day and 10ks on the weekend. My daughter is now much older too old for a pram but too young to walk at a decent pace. I did try the bike/scooter but she doesn't ride it the entire way and I'm left walking the dog and trying to push/carry her bike or scooter. I've got a gym membership but find it hard to go. The child minding isn't open early if a morning so we can't get up early and go before I go to work. I'm a single parent so don't have anyone to rely on. I've tried going at night once she's asleep and an older sibling comes over and watched her but it's than late for them for school the next day and I can't sleep because I'm so awake from the gym and than I'm tired from no sleep. I wanted to play netball but even that I can't do because I don't have anyone to watch my daughter. I want to do bush walks etc but I'm scared shitless to do it in my own with my daughter because what if something happens? It's just the two of us and it scares me something happening to me while out in the bush alone.
I'm so lost! I don't know where to start eating is s big part and I know that because I've lost the weight before and kept it off! I can't kick the cravings! My worst time is at night! I'll crave/want shitty food while watching tv! Even if I'm not hungry I'll eat it anyway.
I'm so lost it's not funny. I asked about duromine to get me started and help my body cope with a little bit of the weight gone but the dr basically told me no it's bad it's a form of speed. I know once I loose some it will kick start me to want to keep going. I'm not looking at duromine as a quick fix I just need something to start me off and to allow my body to cope better.
I need serious help with how to motivate me and I feel like the dr hasn't been of any assistance just told me diet and exercise. I felt like saying no shit! So unbelievably down frustrated and upset! Please help this mummy out!

Start with your GP! They are a wealth of information and they'd can refer you to a dietician and it's possibly free on a care plan. I got 5 free appointments.
It's also important to identify why you are craving foods. Are you eating for emotional reasons, are you eating because you didn't eat enough of the healthier foods during the daytime, are you eating enough of the right combo of foods?
A dietitician can help you with all of this.
If you are emotional eating you might find a psychologist helpful.

As to bush walking, take it up. There are often smaller bush walks close to where you live and well within phone reception. Check them out, start easy and work your way up.

Have you thought about an exercise bike for home? Or even a bike with a child's bike attached?

Oh and make small changes one at a time. Don't go for a huge overhaul, it rarely works or sticks long term. One change at a time until it's a habit/routine.

I have an auto immune disease aswell and the fatigue is dibilitating sometimes. My dr has recommended I loose some weight to let my body cope better with the disease. I cleaned my house out of all junk food. I have a container of trail mix on my kitchen bench for cravings. I have 3 kids and struggle with time to excercise I bought a magnetic bike from Kmart for 80 dollars. Once my kids are asleep I ride the bike. When I food shop I don't even walk down the Lollie and chip isles I avoid it at all costs I figure if it's not in my house I won't be able to eat it. I've almost lost 5 kilos it's slow going but I feel so much better for it. My husband has been some what supportive but still craves sweet stuff which is fine his just not aloud it in the house.

It's a lifestyle change, not a diet - your weight will always yo-yo unless you change your lifestyle and stick to it. Start with small healthy changes and make them a habit, then keep adding more until all your unhealthfy habits are a thing of the past. Good luck, it's a tough road to lose weight and keep it off, but you know you have it in you <3

I saw my doctor last week, she's an integrative GP. She prescribed HCG tablets, which along with a (pretty restrictive) diet plan, is supposed to curb cravings and reduce fat fast. I start tomorrow 😬
I have about 40kg to lose to get me to the higher end of my healthy weight range.
I have chronic pain/inflammation, fatigue, depression and anxiety...

I did a blood test which will inevitably show I'm in the danger zone for a few things. Then I'll do another blood test once I've finished. The HCG diet works in cycles. I'd only ever do something like this under my trusted GP's supervision, and when my usual attempts at weight loss have failed over this last year

wish me luck 🍀
