i know the term narcissist is thrown around a lot, but i have a professional who is under the belief that my ex is the real deal. my question is, we have a child, how on earth do we co parent when we cant even reach a basic decision on what colour the sky is. I'm feeling really overwhelmed at how often our child is having to do things that just shouldn't happen. testing is a big issue. our child has had the same test redone, now the preschool report isn't good enough about school readiness. he wants an independent assessment done..i think its all getting to much.

You need professional guidance. I have an ex thats a twat and i found the dicussions with others so draining, noone really understands and so they give wrong advice/insinuating I should try or its good hes involved or itll blow over or excuses for him and hes not that bad etc etc etc.
Psychologist really helped me to guide me through the breakup and what hes doing and what I should do, what direction to be aiming for, and to stay strong.
These are definitely questions for the professional you are working with.
My soon to be ex husband exhibits many narcissistic behaviours, that is what his psychologist said, so he stopped going. I moved towns to keep my children and myself safe. You are going to need professional help. You are going to need a 3rd party means of communication and you are going to need a courte ordered parenting plan/agreement. Make sure you deal with people who are are experienced with with narcissistic personality disorder or narcissistic personalities. Document everything, get copies of any reports that say he is narcissistic. It could be a long hard process, remember to protect your child and work in the best interest of the child. Expect smear campaigns, love bombing, rage and many other means of manipulation. I am so sorry this is happening to you. I wish you much love and strength 💛
