Hey imperfect mummas! I've been following this page for about 8 months now and I love the support you women give each other! My partner and I of 2yrs have just found out I'm 8 weeks pregnant with our first (his 2nd) and to say we are excited is an understatement!
I haven't told many people yet as I'm waiting for the 12wk mark, and I'm scared at the fact I don't have many friends/ partner will be working all day during the week. What can I do to make sure I don't fall behind with my mental health? And any extra advice on newborns would be welcomed with open arms! Am generally great with kids, haven't had much experience with ones below 1yr. Thanks in advance!!?

My advice:
Join a mothers group after bubs have arrived and it might take a few to find the right group for you, that's ok.
As to parenting a new born. Go with the flow! I think it's easy to think we will be a particular type of parent, it doesn't always work out that way because babies and children have there own personalities. Look after yourself and don't be afraid to ask for help. You won't damage your baby by getting it baby sat for a few hours etc. it's important to make time for being just you and being part of a couple.
Congrats!! My advice - wing it! Don’t listen to others too much and make decisions for yourself. I’ve got a newborn and everything I originally planned or thought is down the drain lol !!!
