Family court - breaches of orders

Please help.

I have final court orders with my ex, for my son. The father is involved and sees the child. There have been issues regarding breaches to our current court orders which is making co parenting difficult and then because of it, it is putting a lot of emotional pressure on our lower primary school aged child. Lawyers have been involved regarding these breaches and the father has been warned that if he continues that I will file for a contravention of the orders. Unfortunately he continues to breach.

Breaches include lack of communication regarding our son (in regards to significant matters including health), denigrating myself and other family members in front of and to our son and also lack of duty of care regarding his safety. My son is becoming anxious about seeing his father because of these issues and is in the process of seeing a child pyschologist. He is also intimidated by his fathers controlling behaviour.

People who have been through similar, have you filed for contraventions? Was there a punishment involved for the other parent and did the process assist in helping the other parent to be more child focused? What were the costs involoved (perth based)? I am not looking at taking time away from the father, just looking for some guidence to help him see that his actions are causing emotional trauma for our son. I have tried every other avenue including co parenting sessions and we are not getting anywhere. If it continues, my son will be subjected to even more emotional instability. Unfortunately I think it will take a higher form of authority to help us progress forward with this matter.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!
