My husband and I have 3 beautiful kids but I don’t feel as though our family is complete.
Unfortunately I have complications that won’t allow natural births, so this would mean having a fourth c section.
Has anyone else had 4 c sections? I’ve read about the risks on medical websites, but I’d love to hear some real life stories!
Have you had a fourth c section?

My friend almost died. Along with their 4th baby. I highly discourage this. Our bodies are not meant to be cut open repeatedly in the same area and then put under huge force and stress time and time again. Your uterus is weak and high risk of rupture with a pregnancy after 3 c sections. Be happy with 3 kids or be prepared to have them be raised without you as a genuine possibility.
Have you considered being a Foster mother?
Speak with your doctor and discuss the risks! It depends on many factors (scar tissue, previous complications during surgery for example).
I've known women to have straightforward 4th and 5th C-Sections and women with serious complications with their 1st, it's impossible to say how it may turn out.
The risk isn't the c section. It's the strength of the uterus to hold a growing belly and not rupture. Not an issue with first pregnancies....
That was just an example, I'm obviously no doctor.
My point was, this is something that should be discussed with a doctor or obstetrician to make in informed decision based on her own medical history etc, with someone who is actually qualified to give such advice.

I wouldn't. They don't recommend it for a reason and I don't think it's worth the risk.
When I went in to discuss an elective c-section I was asked how many kids I wanted and when I said two they said good, even three times is pushing it.
It’s best to discuss with an obstetrician who knows their stuff. I do know of a woman who successfully had 9! C-sections!!
9??? Wow! I had one and it was horrific that I'm scared to get pregnant again in case I cant have a VBAC.
My mum had 4, plus tubes tied and untied and 1 natural in between.
She said the 4th one took much longer to heal and left s bigger scar. She still has no feeling In that area.
My Aunty had 4 but I feel as though this is something that really needs to be discussed with your doctor. Every body heals differently. Be informed by a professional before making any decisions
