Ttc, stopped, now pregnant.

Ttc, stopped, now pregnant.

Okay so this is one of those moments where if I don’t laugh, I’ll cry. Just my luck I guess.

My partner and I had been trying for a baby for a while. Last week, was really rocky. Some stuff from my past came up (as a child) and i refuse to leave the house, having anxiety attacks over every noise and not coping very well, he’s taken work off to help me with the kids and we sat down and said baby making needs to go on hold whilst I sort out my mental health. This was not on either end a spiteful decision, we both talked it through, both ended up with a heavy heart at the idea we may not have another baby for a long time and it will put a lot of life plans on hold. Anyway, after this decision, fastforward less then a week, and I am pregnant, 4 tests so far all clearly positive. What do I do? How do I even tell him? How will I even get myself out of the house to see a doctor? My anxiety is through the roof I was waiting until I was strong enough to see a doctor to get myself some anxiety medication. Has this ever happened to someone else? Help.

Fate! It's meant to be. I wonder if your anxiety has anything to do with the pregnancy? I know you were anxious before you found out, but I know when I am pregnant I often remember things from back in my childhood and get nostalgic and start having really strange dreams. Maybe this and mixed with hormonal charged emotions has sent your anxiety through the roof?? You need to tell hubby asap so he can help you get to the doctor. Don't worry about any cute announcements etc, as soon as you see him tell him. I know there are some anti anxiety meds you can take while you're pregnant. Best of luck and you will be fine!

Are you sure this spike in anxiety isn't due to the extra hormones raging around? I know I was a mess in my first trimester. We actually had a similar situation - decided to stop ttc due to outside circumstamces but it was too late.

Either way, hubby needs to know - now - and you need to see a doctor. There may be help for the anxiety while you're pregnant. Take care, I hope it works out x

You could be extra anxious from pregnancy hormones?
It’s meant to be. Embrace it. Tell your husband and laugh about how this little creation just wanted to be with you guys, even if it come at a time you thought you didn’t need it

This is a blessing. This is going to get you out of the house and past this - you will be doing everything for your baby and not for you. Get yourself booked into a doctor and have a blood test for your baby and get your anxiety sorted out for your baby :)
