What should I do / take ?

I’m 31.3 days pregnant with Bub number 3 and in so so sick , have been for about a month , it went away for a week and has come back . Awfully bad cough that won’t stop , sore throat like razor blades , blowing my nose all the time and lots and lots of dark coloured stuff coming up (sorry )

Went to the dr and he gave me antibiotics keflex which I haven’t filled yet , I really didn’t want to have to take antibiotics. Worried about the antibiotics affecting bubs immune system and my own , and the safety of the drug , not sure what to do

Any advise ?

Id get your script filled and take the antibiotics. Your system by itself isnt getting better. Your doctor wouldnt have prescribed antibiotics if they were harmful to the baby

Antibiotics are safe take them before u pass something worse on or end up in hospital with pneumonia!

You need to get the script filled and take it ASAP! The anti biotics won’t harm the baby

Call 13health (they are qual nurses) or your midwife and discuss. Surely anon people on an internet forum cant reassure you.

This is actually good advice, I'm not sure why this kind of reaction is warranted!?
I've taken more antibiotics (during pregnancy and otherwise) in my life than the average person, that does not mean I'm qualified to give any kind of medical advice, none of us here are!

Contact Rodney Whyte at Monash Medical Centre in Victoria - he is *the* guru on meds and pregnancy/breastfeeding and absolutely lovely and very helpful.

He will hopefully be able to reassure you a bit. It certainly sounds like you need intervention at this stage. Good luck.
