I’m so ashamed to be asking this. This is my first step before I can even think about confronting my doctor.
My partner and I tried wanted another baby, we tried, I fell pregnant quite quickly. It’s no been easy. I’m 17 weeks, I’m suffering from hyperemesis quite severely as it is and barely getting by. My hospitals appts started quite early as my last baby was a micro prem. They have put me on a few things to hopefully reduce the risk of another’s prem, which I’m all for. My problem is. I’ve been on vaginal progesterone for a week now and boy am I suffering. They never told me
There could be side effects. I’m already miserable vomiting 20 times a day and so deflated. Anyway, after a day or so of taking the progesterone. I’ve started to have what I assume is side effects, this is my 4th baby so I understand pregnancy hormones are insane but this is next level. All I’ve done is cry, become anxious, had panic attacks, reduce my self worth, and even got the point I begged my partner to let me adopt out our son. That was a 10 minute feeling and I felt so stupid afterwards, I love this baby, I’ve fought since day one to keep us both alive since being diagnosed with HG, it was just such a real feeling at the time. Is this progesterone the cause for this? I will see my doctor at 19 weeks, and bring it up if this hasn’t calmed down, but surely something isn’t right here. Thankyou.

Go to your pharmacy and ask them for a print out of the medication side effects
With both my oldest boys I was severely sick before the pregnancy test even came back positive until the day they were born and if I wasn't vomiting, I was sleeping or sitting in the shower. No this isn't normal for everyone but for me it was. I also had gall stones (which is now sand and I only have flare up ocassionally) get them to see if there's anything that could be exacerbating your situation. beinf over tired will make your symptoms worse and so will being dehydrated so make sure your getting fluids if you can. You may need to be given fluids in hospital if you cannot keep anything down.
I was on Prgesterone support until I was 16 weeks with my ivf pregnancy and had no serious non pregnancy related symptoms. It exacerbated my tender breasts and vaginal mucus but that was it. If your unsure always go and see you maternity nurse.
Not progesterone pessaries but these sound similar to the side effects I had on progesterone-based contraception. I thought I was going crazy.
I didn't find the pessaries to make a big difference in mood. I had 3 preterm pregnancies and was on them for the last 2. But progesterone birth control options definitely have a negative effect on my moods.
I personally would be looking up what the possible side effects were and definitely speaking about it with the dr.

You know yourself best, and if you know something isn’t right with you then you are correct.
I have had progesterone cream and I can’t tolerate it well. In fact I can’t tolerate any hormones that I’ve tried. So I’m currently low in progesterone and I feel miserable with migraines, low energy, moody and cranky, can’t stand being touched at times and feel just plain weird.
My specialist has assured me it’s not depression or anxiety as my bloods show my deficiency and my spikes of estrogen. I feel this the most in the second half of my cycle.
Do not wait. Go and see your doctor.
Yes side effects can happen, but that doesn't mean you should suffer.
