I am having my 3rd baby and I would love my tubes tied. I am being put on medication after my pregnancy that if I fall pregnant I will have to abort the baby as it will be born brain dead. I could not go through that at all and I am wanting to stop it any way I can.

If you have a medical reason I do not think they will deny you. My doctor said to me 28 or 3 kids that’s what you have to be/do. You can only ask the doctor you see for your pregnancy currently and see what he/she says and give your reasons. If you have a c-section they can do it while you’re on the table. If you have a natural birth and you’re in the public system you will need to wait until an opening appears or get on the wait list and that can take months/years.
Thank you for your reply. I will be speaking to my doctor about it. Birth controls do not work well with me and condoms cause reactions.
I had my tubes tied after 1 child. My sisters had there’s don’t after 2. The doctor will take into account your health, previous contraceptive advice and age. But there is no real reason for them to say no, so push for what you want.
