IUGR

Just wanting some experience with IUGR. My first baby had it, he was born at 36 weeks but that was due to a placenta abruption rather then them inducing me early so to IUGR. I had my 3rd baby 2 years ago and he was born at 28 weeks, with no explanation why.
I’m 26 weeks with my 4th and been told he has IUGR. After such a lengthy nicu stay with my last baby I am really terrified of another one. So my question is, when were your IUGR babies delivered, were you induced and did they have a nicu stay? Thankyou.

I had a friend who went to 41 weeks as she refused to be induced, he came out fine (though she not so much, troublesome labour) and he was 1.7kg. He's met all milestones and had no reason to stay in NICU, she was discharged after 3 days and he's developed fine. He is very small, half the size of my son (weight wise) and has seen a chiropractor and physio just to help with some development.

My daughter now 6 (7in Feb) was delivered at 34 weeks and stayed in hospital 3.5 weeks... no trouble breathing as I got the steroid shots. Not a single setback. She was 3lb 7.5 oz. Took what felt like forever to catch up size wise but she got there by 4 ha ha! No delays with milestones :-) Wish you all the best...
