Just curious, what are everyone's preferences with rolled icing/fondant? Is it easier to buy the pre-made stuff from Woolies/Coles, or better to make it yourself? What are Pro's and cons of each?

I prefer buttercream for kids cakes. Nobody eats fondant.
Our family and friends looove fondant. My gf makes amazing cakes and her fondant is beautifully rolled and thin!
I learned to make marshmallow fondant and it is AMAZING. Give it a go. Plenty of recipes online.
