Food for 6 year old boys.

Food for 6 year old boys.

Please help.
What does an average day of food look like for your 6 year old boys? (Very tall).
Also, how do you get 5 serves of vegetables in them a day? It almost seems impossible. He has a bit of salad on a sandwich and has some salad/veg at dinner. I doubt it's 5 serves.
Also, do any of you have any "hidden veggie snacks" ideas, so I can incorporate them throughout the day , so mr 6 doesn't feel like he's eating carrot sticks all day.

Thanks everyone.

Im not sure what a day of food is for a 6 yr old boy but i know my girl is a picker until dinner time. But as far as veg go I found veggie pasta great, like pasta made out of veg; cool colours, healthier, and it's 'pasta'. Veggie bakes (potato bakes etc) are really useful too, broccoli, zuccini and cauliflower is my kids fav. Pasta dishes with chicken or sausages and mixed frozen veg. Rissoles with little pieces of veg in them. Omelettes as well. Instead of fast food for take away i get chinese or something like that which has veggies in it but honestly my biggest tip that worked for me is eating with my kids and giving them what I eat, leading by example has worked wonders for me. I live a very healthy lifestyle anyway though so they've been eating healthy since they were introduced to solids.
You could always try fruit skewers, prices of veg made into shapes of cars, dinosaurs, etc. Even veggie muffin/cupcakes, quiche even, you could even try 'stuffed cheese' cubes of cheese with celery or carrot or whatever in them, my kids love them. Good luck

My go-to to load the kids on some green veg is smoothies. Always add in spinach (either fresh or frozen) into it with any fruit the kids ask for.
