Pregnancy after ectopic w/tube removal

Hi just wondering if anyone has been in the same boat??

Bit of back story:
I had an ectopic pregnancy that resulted in surgery and loosing my tube. This was just over 4 weeks ago and now I think I’m pregnant again.

I have done a pregnancy test today which was a faint positive. I will be booking into the doctors to double check but I’m nervous.

We were advised not to get pregnant until I had at least 1 period so we’ve been using condoms but clearly that hasn’t worked.

So here’s my question. I’m just wondering if anyone else has gotten pregnant again so quickly and how was it?? I know everyone is different but I’m just courious about others experiences

Thanks

Could it be possible that your HCG levels are still elevated after your last pregnancy? Have they been blood testing you regularly to ensure your levels have gone back down?

After 2 weeks everything was back to normal

I think the Drs suggest that as the whole process is pretty traumatic. I know I lost a lot of blood- internal bleeding- with my ectopic. It scared my husband but I don't remember too much of it.
We fell pregnant maybe 2 months afterwards with no issues.

It’s not a good scenario tbh, your body needs a chance to recover, I really hope things work out. It is also really important at this time to get contraception sorted and use it correctly, the chances of getting pregnant with one tube is lower and within four weeks, very low chance and with using a condom correctly, 1 in a million. Precum can also get you pregnant. It is also advisable to wait for two cycles or about three months. Good luck.
