My daughter will be 4 in November.
We have been seeing a pediatrician for ASD and ADHD.
Today he is leading away from ASD but he can see she has ADHD but is to young to diagnose.
Being her mother I can agree. She never stops I've got her on melatonin at night to sleep. She would be up to 11 just running bouncing off walls. She NEVER stops. She doesn't sit and watch TV she moves and watches she doesn't sit and eat she moves and eats. Everything she is moving even in her sleep. Argh. I am exhausted being a full time single mum with out her dad involved at all.
He talked about natural drugs to pharmacy drugs today. He said she will most likely need pharmacy drugs when at school. This scares me I hear of all these sorties about them. How they change the child all together. Older people commiting suicide the list goes on.
Does any one have any other options. What do they do to cope to help their child to manage everything.
I feel so overwhelmed right now. On top of full time study being a full time mum and dealing with ADHD I'm exhausted.
He has told me hear ear drums arnt to good either. They keep rupturing puss keeps coming out. She's on antibiotics. And she snores at night so we are needing to see a ENT. She also has never been able to blow her nose and it's always running or blocked. She has a speech therapist lined up for next week. But I'm not sure how I can afford an ENT.
Does any one know a good public ENT in NSW Sydney/Wollongong sort of area?
Any advice or stories of how you get along with all this would be much appreciated.

My son was diagnosed at 3 with ADHD , it's not too early yet I wouldn't think ? My son is almost 15 now and still has it but it's better . we also chose never to medicate, but instead we gave him behavioral therapy classes , we found over the years , that it helps a lot because it's a pattern of behaviours so they learn by a reverse constant pattern .
There is a strong correlation between needing adenoids tonsils and grommets and ADHD symptoms which is why they now recommend an ENT before medicating for ADHD. And with your daughters ear problems you may find a profound difference in her behaviour once you sought out the snoring and ear trouble!
Good luck mumma
Contact these people in Sydney. It used to be bulk billed ENT clinic not sure if still is but they are excellent.

If your paed is investigating a possible ASD diagnosis then they should register your appointment with Medicare under Item 135. This will allow Medicare covered sessions for diagnosis and some initial treatment (I think 12 appointments from memory). ASD often goes misdiagnosed in girls so keep pushing for assessment by a clinical psychologist (if you can get to Sydney see Neil Nicol - he is amazing), speech, OT etc.
medication is frightening and can be risky for some people with family history of mental illness - a good paed will walk you through that.
