Vasectomy reversal

Vasectomy reversal failed:
My husband recently had a vasectomy reversal early August. We had a sperm analysis test to see if sperm had returned and it has come back as no sperm was found in the sample provided. It has been less than 2 months since his procedure and I’m reading that it can take months before sperm can be found in the semen. It’s been a long road for both of us to get to this point and to say we are upset is an understatement. I’m looking for other people’s experiences and if their partners reversal wasn’t successful, did you go ahead with other options? Such as sperm retrieval etc?
