Wondering who has successfully fallen pregnant after stopping the Depo-Provera contraceptive injection? I had it only once (in early August) and we have since chosen to try for baby #2 so I didn’t get it again when it was due earlier this month... Those who have been on it, when did you get your period back after stopping the injections? Did you get pregnant straight away or did it take years like I’ve read it could? I haven’t got my period back yet and we are both hoping we will be successful in conceiving quickly but do realise this may not happen. Note that Bub #1 was conceived while I was on the pill (which I had been on for almost 8years at the time so obviously Bub was not expected) making this ‘trying’ all new to us! Thanks ladies for reading & sharing any experiences x

I fell pregnant ON the depo needle. 2 weeksbedore i was due to get re-dosed, i did a test and was pregnant
Hey, so I have recently fallen pregnant after coming off Depo. The injection for me lasted around 16 weeks and then I had a normal period and only one additional month the get pregnant (20 weeks from last injection). I have in the past been on depo for 6 years straight and that took 7 months to get a period after the last injection. If your periods return to normal you should be ok.
Second baby I conceived the next month after coming off Depo and third while I was on Depo.
15 years on needle, took 4 years to fall pregnant, then 5 months later pregnant again.
2 babies 14 months apart.
It took a year after mine to go back to normal but honestly I have t fallen pregnant since and that’s after a year of trying...
my others kids were either surprises or only took 2 months.
Good luck
