Early labour?

Early labour?

38 + 6 days

Last night about 810pm i started getting pains they got stronger/regular/i was vomiting/they were mainly in my lower back.
I ended going hospital about 130am. I had internal done and midwife said im 3cm dilated they monitored bubs was given pananden forte and then i asked to go home as i felt the pains were decreasing and because I'm vbac i couldnt move around as i was at home (in shower, walking etc)
i went home and went to sleep about around 4am. I slept on and off and now im awake bouncing on my gym ball trying to speed/help things. I have next to no pain now (im devastated as i dont want to be induced on sunday which im spose to)
Is this normal to happen? And what does it mean? Sorry for long post

Just keep walking and bouncing, that's all you can really do. I found really internalizing what you invision for your birth, really powerful for me. Once I started doing that, things would go in that direction. With vbac you really need to believe in yourself whole heartedly and not be discouraged when things stall, because that's just a part of the process.

Sounds like it's started. They can stop by going to hospital too soon. Being at home is best. Hopefully it starts again and happens today for you

I know you're going to hate hearing this but you've just gotta go with the flow. It will happen when it's ready to happen!
Just listen to your body. Get moving if you feel you need to, rest if you feel you need to.

I don't have any experience with early labour, I've never even gone into labour naturally lol. I am however an expert in being induced having done it 3 times!
Let me just say, don't fear it. I actually found being induced kind of empowering. I found knowing my baby was definitely on the way and being aware of the process really good.

Good luck, I hope you don't have to wait too much longer x

Stay upright, walk up some stairs if there's any near you. I probably would have stayed near the hospital to be honest! I have had quick labours though so maybe that's why I think that but also because it's vbac, I would want to be there if things start moving along faster and end up needing a c section!

This happened to me with my 3rd, it kept stopping and starting. It eventually established just before i was meant to be induced. Can you refuse induction? (You definitely can in general, i just mean healthwise etc). Or otherwise if labour is starting maybe just the initial step will be enough to kick start it and you wont need the drip. Good luck x
