Hi mumma’s.
I’m currently 13 weeks pregnant with #2, and experiencing some pregnancy symptoms which I didn’t experience until way into the 3rd trimester with my first.
The main is constantly feeling short of breath, which is totally normal when bub gets bigger and is pushing up against your ribs. But I’m still so early, bub isn’t big enough to cause this, so no idea why I’m feeling this way. (And there is only 1 in there, confirmed that with scan last week)
I saw my GP about it today, and he wasn’t overly concerned. I don’t have my first appointment with the midwives at the hospital for another month.
My blood pressure is a bit low, but nothing out of the ordinary for pregnancy.
I also had a fainting spell last week, where just before I felt extremely dizzy and hot, and was actually sitting down at the time.
Again, GP sent me for bloods but put it down to low BP and low iron.
Any advice or ideas to help manage this?

Since it is something that could possibly mean something more serious I think you should go and get a second opinion. An ecg would not have hurt you to make sure everything is ok. The other thing that might be causing it which happened to me was severe bloating and too much gas. If this isn't a problem for you then definitely go and get that second opinion x
I had this with my second baby. Low blood pressure, very low iron, and when baby was born he ended up being huge! If youre ever worried just go to the hospital, its better than being worried or stressed.
I’m currently pregnant with my third and I had this happen to me- it turns out my PE had returned (blood clots in the lungs) Of you’re still worried a second opinion never hurt anyone.
Hi There Mumma, I’m currently 12 weeks pregnant and have all of your above symptoms. My doc said perfectly normal and to manage the blood pressure through diet, eating every two hours and ensuring consistent carbs in the diet to manage blood sugar. The shortness of breath freaked me out too but doc said it’s due to hormones.
