Hey mums, does anyone know of any good books or material on building resilience in pre teen girls. My daughter has always been a bit sensitive but with the onset of puberty it’s gotten wild. She holds onto things people have said and will randomly get upset about it days or even weeks later. Her youngest brother cannot even look at her without him being called mean. The smallest criticism will make her feel like she has failed at life. We have tried to be encouraging, talking it thru with her, giving cuddles when needed and space when that is called for too. But this momma is at her wits end, today it was 10 minutes of crying because the tv hates her because it wouldn’t turn on in a blackout.

Not necessarily for her but - The Highly Sensitive Child by Elaine Aron is great.
Get a care plan from your dr and take her to a child
Psychologist. They are fantastic and can help her with her thinking and get things out of her and explain why she feels this way. It’s worth a try.
