TRIGGER WARNING-POSSIBLE EARLY PREGNANCY LOSS

TRIGGER WARNING-PREGNANCY LOSS

Apologies if my post upsets anyone.
My period is not due till 22nd of this month.Upon waking up this morning,I have had major lower back pain and vaginal bleeding.Kind of very dark red colour. Was slightly heavier than a normal period for maybe two to three hrs then slowed right down.I had some mild stomach cramps and diarrhoea late this afternoon but I haven’t passed any clots.
I’ve called my ed but it’s a small hospital and no dr is there at the moment.I was told to go up sometime tomorrow.I did also call the health direct hotline and was told to see a gp in the next twelve hrs.
Has anyone had an experience like this(and comfortable with sharing it)and the possibility that it is an early pregnancy loss? What to expect when I go to hospital etc,if it is a loss?Thankyou in advance.

If you're due on the 22nd, you should be ovulating or about now (or just finushed). If it was an early miscarriage then you would be in your 2nd month to be past conception if you're due on the 22nd or your cycle is out of sync? The dates don't add up. I've had normal periods over time that have been as described, but you may also have mistaken spotting for your last period so see your GP during the week? A pregnancy test might pick up on some hormones if you are/were pregnant?

I agree. Given your period due date, you are obvulating so it's too early to be miscarrying. Unless you fell pregnant last month/cycle.
Do a pregnancy test and go from there, it will still detect HCG level even if they are going down during a miscarriage. And make a GP appointment.

Other reasons your period could come early after diet, weight loss, stress ect..

There’s always a possibility you’re pregnant if you’ve had unprotected sex. With my older children I fell pregnant the day my period finished. So the reality is yes it’s an early miscarriage. When I misscarried my 5th pregnancy it was everything you described. You can see a doctor and get an ultrasound referral to make sure everything has be expelled. If you are going through a misscarraige a pregnancy test will still come up positive as there will be hormones in your system. If not it could be an unusually heavy period.
