This maybe a silly question but I have just been diagnosed with ibs. I'm only 25, and I'm a single mum. Just wondering does it impact your sex life and dating prospects. How do you handle all the symptoms during those times?

I have IBS, was diagnosed around the same age actually.
My advice since you're freshly diagnosed - focus on getting your symptoms under control before worrying about dating. Trying to date while you're feeling bloated, nauseated and racing to the toilet all the time isn't ideal.
My IBS doesn't impact my life too much unless I'm in the middle of a flare up (my flare ups seem to be hormonal and coincide with PMS - yay me right lol), if I eat shit I know I'm not supposed to or if I'm under a lot of stress.
Mine is controlled with diet, if I eat the wrong thing then I have a problem. Find out what causes it for you then you will feel a lot more in control of it, it doesn't need to affect your life too much.
I would focus more on how to handle it with work first than dating.
