Does anyone here work in OSCH (before and after school care/vacation care) and know what's going to happen to us if schools close? Do we close too? What will casuals do for money? I work as casual and have a 6 year old and 3 year old and am single mother....times are hard without this added on top.
I can't see it being a smart idea for us to stay open though if schools close.
My boss knows as little as I do at the moment but just curious to see if anyone knows anything more? I hate the uncertainty of these times

If you can’t work due to covid (that includes shutdowns, not just if you get sick) you will either be put on parenting payment single, or the new jobseeker payment. They are also waving the usual waiting periods.
They are also discussing rental issues this week. So you can expect some relief in that area too.
I’ve been following closely as my employees in a different industry will be out of work very soon.
If you watch the prime ministers addresses yesterday it will explain it all.
And you will also be able to cash out $10k from your super before the end of June and another $10k after 1 July. Both payments are tax free.
Really? I haven't heard of that
