Pregnancy and Botox

Help mums. I’m 45 and got Botox for the first time. I’ve just found out I’m 24 weeks pregnant and the symptoms I thought were menopause weren’t!
I had permanent contraception and was pre menopausal with teenage children.
I’m freaking out I could have done damage to our baby.
I’ve just had it four days before finding out.
Will I need an abortion? Will something bad happen to the baby?
My husband doesn’t know I’ve had it done and was at my doctors appointment so I didn’t mention it.
Feeling guilty

No one needs an abortion, especially at 24 weeks. Your baby is fully developed and if born would very likely survive with NICU care.

Nope, you’ll be fine. Baby will be fine.

Nope Botox won’t damage your baby. Relax and enjoy!! I’m sure that was quite a shock finding out at 24 weeks!!

Wow that certainly would have been a shock! There's not much info/haven't been many studies on Botox in pregnancy but a once off is unlikely to have done much, if any damage.

A good person to contact regarding this would be Rodney Whyte at Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne - he is a pharmacist and very, very knowledgeable around drugs, pregnancy and breastfeeding. He may be able to put your mind at ease xxxx
