For some people weight loss will improve there chances of getting pregnant.
It’s not a fix all though and some people will still need more interventions to get pregnant.

A lot will depend on what is causing the irregular periods.

Getting to a proper understanding of what is going on can be a process.

Short answer. Yes, weight loss can definitely improve your fertility. Being in a healthy weight range will be more beneficial during pregnancy and potential fertility treatments too. It may even help in terms of regulating your cycle.

(I speak from experience, being overweight during pregnancy immediately puts you in the higher risk category which is not fun).

Having said all that, this is definitely something you should discuss in depth with your doctor or OBGYN.
