Personal space

Does any one else hate it when their kids get all up in your face, and have to climb all over you....? Or am I just a crap mum...? I love my babies, but I need my personal space. I love to cuddle my kiddies, I play and muck around, but I have limits. Any one else feel this way

Completely normal! I love my kids too but some days they are just all crammed up in my personal space and it’s overwhelming.

Yes! I am mum but I'm a human being with needs, limits and preferences as well. I refuse to let my kids treat me like a mere vessel placed on earth for their enjoyment.
Of course I love my children and play and give them plenty of affection but my "touch meter" if you will definitely has a limit.

I have a few friends who let their kids climb on them like a totem pole but they don't want to assert any personal boundaries in case their kids hate them for it.
It is 100 percent okay to tell your kids that you need some personal space!

Yes! It is completely normal to feel this way. It is so important to teach kids from a young age about personal space. Kids need to learn that other kids, adults and also pets need some space to breathe at times, that it’s ok to say “please back off and give me some space”. Let them know that you play another game soon, but for now you need some space.

Totally normal hun, I have two kids under 3 single mum 100% care and some days I just can't, but to make it worse they seem to pick up on it and choose those days to try and climb all over me etc
