Curious to know if anyone has been diagnosed with Meralgia Paresthetica and how you’ve dealt with it. I am 23 weeks pregnant and really struggling with the severe symtoms (numbness, tingling, burning) on my outer right thigh, to the point where it is painful & irritating on occasions to be touched. I’m trying to maintain my current weight to prevent it getting worse, but it’s obviously futile being pregnant. Any advice would be appreciated.

I had this in my first pregnancy. I had this huge numb patch on my thigh. Lucky for me I had no pain, it was just a very weird sensation with the occasional tingling. It went away within weeks after giving birth. My doctor said there was nothing he could do for it. If yours is causing you a lot of grief then perhaps another visit to your GP to see what else can be done/prescribed for it.
I have a three month old and for the last 2 months roughly I have been suffering from this but on my left thigh.
I just didn’t know what it was.
I am certain mine is based on the fact I have put on so much weight with my pregnancy.
Guess this was the kick in the arse I needed to read 🙈
I had this with my last 2 pregnancies. It’s horrible. My dr said there wasn’t anything he could do as it is pregnancy related. I just had to deal with it until I gave birth - both times it went away as soon as i delivered
I had this throughout my last two pregnancies of 3. It is horrible and I really feel for you 😥 it does tend to go away after pregnancy but I still do get a tingling sensation even now. I had no advice other than to elevate my legs but it’s difficult to rest the area when it’s not the bottoms of your legs 😥 best of luck xxx
