Hi all!
My husband and I own a mechanic shop. I would love to hear your ideas for what you love/hate in waiting areas, service ect.
We are in the process of setting up a new shop and I’m fresh out of some cool ideas.
Thanks for your help!

If I’ve got somewhere to charge a device, get a coffee and access to wifi, and a clean toilet I’m good for at least three hours! If my car was going to take longer than that I wouldn’t be hanging around anyway and wouldn’t care what you have beyond having something to sit on.
A TV. It's good to pass the time and keeps bored kids quiet. A vending machine would also be cool!
I hate waiting.. I wish there were more courtesy cars on offer so I had one to drive around. Or in a location with shops very close by so I can go and spend time there.
However, I would include a decent coffee machine, a little snack bar, phone chargers and little pod couches for individuals :)
I never wait around. Is that even a thing? My mechanic doesn't even have anywhere to sit! I take my car there because he is friendly, respectful & genuinely cares about not ripping people off.
What is wanted are courtesy cars or transfers home or to work if needed.
We have a small fleet of vans, I am the lucky one who gets to do the taking to the mechanics job.
If waiting, I take an IPad and work from there.
Maybe somewhere a power point with USB
One place had 2 outdoor chairs outside, that was nice, especially when my phone rings a lot, I don’t feel rude yapping on phone while others are around.
Toilet
Some times my kids would be with me when they were younger.
I really don’t mind, happy to be out of office, like an excursion lol
